BIBLE– We believe that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments were given by supernatural inspiration, and therefore are inerrant and infallible. God also preserved His word, since its origin, and the King James Version is an accurate and reliable translation. It is the only Bible we use. GOD – We believe that there is only one true God. He exists in three distinct personages: the Father, the Son, (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. He possesses the attributes of eternality, omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, immutability, holiness, love, and truth.
JESUS CHRIST – We believe that Jesus Christ is equal with the Father and Holy Spirit in every respect, possessing the same attributes. His incarnation was through a supernatural conception, and He was virgin -born. He lived a sinless life, and His voluntary death on the cross provided a way for our sins to be forgiven. Jesus rose bodily from the dead after three days, and is now seated at the Father’s right hand, serving as our intercessor and advocate.
THE HOLY SPIRIT – We believe that the Holy Spirit is equal in every way to the Father and the Son, and that He is more than an impersonal force, or simply the expression of God’s power. He was active in the work of creation; He moved God’s chosen messengers to speak and record the Bible; He was also involved in Christ’s conception and resurrection from the dead. Today, the Spirit brings conviction upon the unsaved, regenerates those who repent and believe on Jesus Christ, indwells and seals the believer, teaches, comforts, empowers and produces spiritual fruit in the children of God.
SATAN – We believe that Lucifer was created by God in a state of purity, beauty, and wisdom but voluntarily fell from that estate through pride and evil ambition, leading a host of angels in rebellion against God. The Bible indicates that he is a powerful and intelligent creature, but does not possess attributes equal with God. He introduced sin to this planet by tempting Eve to disobey God, and works yet today to promote wickedness and false doctrine. His end shall be eternal consignment to the lake of fire.
MAN – We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, and is not a product of evolution. Man is a three-part being, comprised of body, soul, and spirit. Through the fall of Adam and Eve, sin became universal to the human race, and as a result all men need to be redeemed.
SALVATION – We believe that by His grace, God provided a means for sinful man to be saved through the substitutionary death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ death on the cross satisfied the justice of God providing propitiation for our transgressions, making it possible for us to be reconciled to God. We reject the five points of Calvinism (TULIP). This salvation may be appropriated only by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ; good works and religious rituals have no part in man’s regeneration. We further believe that those who sincerely trust in Christ are secure in their salvation, being kept by the power of God.
CREATION – We accept the Genesis account of creation as literal; God made all things in six days (24 hour periods), and not by evolutionary processes spanning millions or billions of years.
